My husband and I have been long-time fans of Arcadia Publishing’s Images of America series. Now we’re pleased to announce that we’ve authored one ourselves. It features our quaint little town of Weaverville, North Carolina.
Nearly 200 photographs trace the history of what was once called Dry Ridge by the Cherokee. It features a ton of founding families and citizens and honors the growth of area businesses, churches, and schools. About half of the photographs came from the holdings of the gracious Dry Ridge Museum, but many are previously unseen images from the personal collections of fourth-generation residents.
The book will be officially released in September, 2015, but you can preorder your copy right now!
